WBMC 2027
The World Beard and Moustache Championships (WBMC) is a celebrated international competition that brings together facial hair enthusiasts from around the globe to compete in a wide variety of creative and traditional beard and moustache categories.
Overseen by the World Beard and Moustache Association (WBMA), the event is typically held every two years in a different host city, with locations selected four years in advance through a vote by WBMA member clubs.
Open to all facial hair aficionados – regardless of gender, age, or nationality – the WBMC welcomes both natural and creatively styled entries, including categories for artificial and fantasy creations.

Sandgrown beardsmen
The world Beard & Moustache Championships 2027 will take place in the historic Winter Gardens in Blackpool, and will be hosted by the Sandgrown Beardsmen.
The Sandgrown Beardsmen is a local social club, founded by local Barber & Business owner, Brian Eva. The group was set up to create a community of beards who can give back to the community with charity fundraisers and organised events.
During the pandemic in 2020, the group offered a lifeline to its members, hosting virtual events, going on walks (socially distanced of course) and checking in with one another during that strange period.
From classic styles to full lumberjack-length beards, the club celebrates all forms of beard culture. They regularly convene at their hub – Bearded Fool barbers – to share techniques, show off their latest beard enhancements, and support each other.
